Carleton University picks up Lanie Guimond for the 2021 season

Lanie Guimond (Barrie Jr. Sharks, F, 2021) to Carleton University

Guimond is a 5’7” left shot forward who has been on Neutral Zone’s radar for the last 2 years. She is from Kirkland Lake, Ontario where she played for the North Bay Ice Boltz as a Midget AA player before making the transition to Junior hockey last year with the Barrie Jr. Sharks.

Guimond put up 19 points for the Sharks last season and was a part of Neutral Zone’s PWHL Rankings.  From the last ranking set: “Guimond sees the ice well and plays with a gritty compete level. She uses her vision to find open teammates and hits them with nice passes. She is willing to battle for the puck in the dirty areas of the ice and, once she gains possession, she initiates plays that create quality opportunities and produce goals.”

On November 5th, Guimond announced her commitment to play at Carleton University starting in 2021.
