Game Recap
A long awaited rematch of the New England Championship game brought Nobles to Kent. Nobles came ready to play getting 2 quick goals from #13 Kaley MacDonald and #11 Ellie Mabardy just minutes into the game. The first period continued to be offensively dominated by Nobles, making the defense work, with Kent getting a few chances through odd man rushes but Kent struggled to find the back of the net. To start the second, Kent was on the penalty kill but came out hungry. Kent got a lot more offensive chances as the playing field began to even out. The early offensive dominance caught up to both teams mid way through the third period but Kent was able to find the back of the net to bring the score to 2-1 with a goal from #13 Kristina Stathas. A few tough transitions for Kent resulted in 2 late goals from Nobles from #10 Katie Pyne and #9 Emmy O’Leary to finish the game with a 4-1 Nobles win.
