Lawrence Academy Falls to St. Paul’s

Lawrence Academy hosts St. Paul’s School. For the home team Shelby Guinard would start in net while Madison Beck would be across the ice in the visitor’s net. St. Paul’s opened up the scoring late in the first, Tiffany Hill would net the first goal at 7:28. The assist would go to Gaby Roy who dished a pass out front to Hill after a battle for the puck behind the net. The duo would get the next set of points on their very next shift. With 5:55 left in the period Roy would get a break down the ice and deke out Lawrence’s net minder, however, Guinard would get a piece if it, working hard to track the puck. Despite her efforts Hill would get her second goal of the game following up the play and netting an easy rebound goal.

Second period would bring two more goals for St. Paul’s with Hill completing her hat trick. Again assisted by Roy from the corner to the slot, Hill would net a pretty top shelf goal at 14:24. St. Paul’s fourth goal would come from Roy on a break with a shot short side at 10:25.

The third period of play held one goal, competing from St. Paul’s for a final win 5-0 over Lawrence Academy. Eliza Farriss was able to capitalize on a cross ice pass through the slot.

Coach Heather Farrell, “I was happy with how the team played, we got a slow start but picked it up. We have a young team that still is learning our systems and we continue to build every day. They are a gritty group that are eager to learn which is exciting to be around.”
