Culver got the scoring started off the stick of senior forward Beau Fixari, with the assists coming from Maksis Brimanis and Noah Henry. At the end of 1, Culver leads Dexter, 1-0.

In the second, Dexter found the back of the net about halfway through the period. Michael Adamson (Quincy, MA) got a shot through from the blue line to the net. Culin Wilson (Hingham, MA) redirected it and Ben Raymond (Newton, MA) put it in the back of the net to make it 1-1. Just a few minutes later, Culver jumped back on top with a Maksis Brimanis goal. Assisting on the play was Fixari and Spencer Weisgram. At the end of 2, 2-1 Culver.

The third period was back and forth filled with plenty of chances. Derek Mullahy (Scituate, MA) for Dexter and Grant Adams for Culver were both on top of their games in the third period, eliminating all the scoring opportunities. Dexter made a last minute push, pulling the goalie and playing 6-on-5 but Adams stood strong and came out with the win. 2-1 Culver Final.

Derek Mullahy turned away 21/23 shots while Grant Adams had 24/25 saves tonight.

NZ Take:

Mason Lohrei, 01 D for Culver did not find his way on the scoresheet but was very good from the back end and played a role of solid puck-moving defenseman. Grant Adams was solid in between the pipes for Culver tonight.

For Dexter, with Harvard commit and NHL Draft prospect, John Farinacci (Chatham, NJ) out of the lineup they will be looking for some goal scoring. Chase McInnis (Hingham, MA) showed lots of energy tonight and was making plays all over the ice. Ben Raymond had a good night for himself, he has good speed and creates offense coming through the neutral zone.

Three Stars:

  1. G Grant Adams, Culver
  2. F Maksis Brimanis, Culver
  3. F Ben Raymond, Dexter
