Steve is the President and Founder of Neutral Zone, LLC.
A well-known and respected entrepreneur in Rutland, VT; he has founded several successful ventures including Wilk Paving, Inc one of the largest paving companies in Southern Vermont as well as commercial real estate venture SJ Wilk Properties, LLC. Wilk serves as the President of the Rutland Country Club as well as many board positions including Rutland City Building & Zoning. He oversees the business operations at Neutral Zone and has incorporated the company in both US and Canada.
Steve is responsible for taking a small business with one scout and blossoming into a staff of over 60 scouts throughout North America. He made investments into women’s scouting by hiring former All-American goalie Jess Cameron to run the women’s site right out of college. His next hire was Ian Moran, a former longtime NHLer, to run the NHL scouting arm of Neutral Zone. These two investments, along with growing the scouting staff, have made Neutral Zone the industry leader in amateur hockey scouting throughout the world. Wilk has been the sole investor in Neutral Zone after founding the company in 2015 and is currently working on further expansions into combine testing, league websites and educational/analytics for players and parents.
