Michael was born and raised in West St. Paul, Minnesota. Played four years of high school hockey, including being on a team that advanced to the Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament.
In College, Michael worked as an intern/field reporter for KFAN Sports Radio in the Twin Cities where he covered the Minnesota Wild. After his stint in radio Michael pursued being a scout and began his own scouting website as well as writing scouting reports for several different scouting services and publications. Michael was recruited by wild.com to be their prospect analysist and to contribute to other projects for the site, such as Hockey Day Minnesota.
Michael’s scouting reports have been referenced by many different websites and printed publications and has had guest appearances on numerous different podcasts and shows, including ESPN Radio, to talk Minnesota Hockey. Michael is also the founder of a successful podcast that highlights prospects in the state of Minnesota.
Michael resides in Mendota Heights, Minnesota with his wife and two girls.
