Marlin Muylaert

Marlin has served as a scout with Neutral Zone since their inception in 2015, becoming Director of Ontario scouting in 2017 and Director of Canadian scouting in 2018.

He has amassed over 20 years of collegiate hockey head coaching experience — encompassing four different institutions on both sides of the Canadian-US border. Highlights of his coaching career include two Ontario Provincial University Hockey Championships in 1994 and 1997, and the Canadian University National Championship in 1997. In 1999, Marlin served as Head Coach of Team Canada at the World Student Games in Slovakia where they defeated the Russians to win the bronze medal.

Marlin currently resides in Port Perry, Ontario where he runs the Canadian branch of Neutral Zone. He runs the Canadian scouting staff, is heavily involved in all three CHL Draft Rankings and also assists Paul O’Hagan and Ian Moran on OHL for the NHL Draft. In addition to his scouting and management duties, Marlin also launch the NZ Combines and is running testing and player development camps throughout North America. Marlin is a graduate of York University and holds a Masters Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Ohio University.
