Ed was a former Massachusetts High School hockey standout at BC High where he captained the team his senior year. He pursued college baseball at Bentley University where he studied accounting. He then went on to get a masters degree in Business Administration and finance from UMass Amherst.
He joined the Neutral Zone staff in 2016 as a regional scout in Massachusetts but was quickly promoted after showcasing his hockey intellect and scouting prowess. He went on to become Director of Scouting in New England in 2017 and then Director of Video Scouting in 2020. Ed has also worked as the New England Scout for the Merritt Centennials, Alberni Valley Bulldogs and Coquitlam Express in the BCHL. Ed works full-time as an International Tax Manager during the week but on the weekends he’s one of the most respected scouts in the US. He currently manages the video scouting department, runs the USHL Draft Rankings and assists in the NHL Draft Rankings.
