NCAA Transfer Portal Roundup

SLU F Kaden Pickering to Bemidji State (1 YOE)

Pickering has been a mainstay in the lineup for St. Lawrence and he’ll bring some experience to Bemidji. Last season he had 19 points (6-13-19) in 36 games. Over four years, he had 45 points (21-24-45) in 118 games.

Harvard D John Fusco to Dartmouth (1 YOE)

Fusco is a nice addition for a Dartmouth team that’s looking to rebuild. He played 26 games at Harvard last season as a freshman. He was drafted by Toronto in the seventh round of the 2020 NHL Draft.

Western D Jared Kucharek to Lake State (1 YOE)

Lake State adds a defenseman with size in Kucharek. He only appeared in one game this season for the Broncos but appeared in 69 games through his first two seasons (prior to COVID).

Union F Gabriel Seger to Cornell (2 YOE)

Cornell loves big, burly forwards. Seger is 6-foot-4 and he’s listed around 220 pounds. In two seasons at Union he finished with 43 points (14-29-43) in 71 games.

LSSU F Josh Nixon to Union (3 YOE)

Nixon had a terrific freshman season for the Lakers, posting 20 points (8-12-20) in 37 games. Those numbers were consistent with his output in the USHL and NAHL the previous two seasons. Most importantly for Union, he’s a player who can provide offense and he has three years of eligibility remaining.

LSSU F Dustin Manz to AIC (2 YOE)

Manz could be a huge addition for AIC. The 22-year-old provided offense for the Lakers last year from the blue line with 14 points (7-7-14) in 34 games. Over three seasons he had 30 points (11-19-30) in 103 games. His junior numbers were explosive, including 70 points (33-37-70) in 58 games his last year of play with Prince George in the BCHL. Plus, he has two years left.

AIC F Chris Theodore to Union (1 YOE)

Another big commitment for Union, snagging Theodore out of the portal. Theodore had 29 points (10-19-29) in 35 games for AIC last season and over the last two years he has 48 points (14-34-48) in 54 games. BC kicked the tires on Theodore before it was announced that Jerry York was retiring.

Cornell G Nate McDonald to Guelph

If you recall, McDonald was committed to Michigan State before Danton Cole was fired but was later dropped by Nightingale after he was named head coach.

Army F Mitch Machlitt to SUNY-Geneseo (3 YOE)

Machlitt is going to be an explosive D-III player for Geneseo. He had 28 points in 48 games through two seasons at Army and in his last year of junior in the NAHL he finished with 62 points (24-38-62) in 50 games.

ASU F Michael Mancinelli to Maine (3 YOE)

Michigan native appeared in 56 games through two seasons for Arizona State and had totaled 22 points (8-14-22).
