NZ is Hiring: Scouts Wanted

Neutral Zone, LLC is the largest and most reputable independent hockey scouting service in the industry; with a staff of over 50 experienced, qualified, professional scouts from across North America. 

In the past five years NZ has had five scouts go on to NHL scouting jobs, six NCAA coaching jobs and six CHL scouting/management positions along with several junior hockey GM’s, Director of Scouting, Head Coaches, etc.

This upcoming season we are growing and expanding the footprint and will be hiring more scouts than ever before in company history. 

Neutral Zone has partnered with RinkNet and all scouts will have access to the RinkNet platform, will conduct reports on RinkNet which can be accessed by every team in the NHL, CHL, NCAA D1 and most junior leagues in North America, etc. 

We are looking for scouts in the following areas:

Women’s Hockey

  • Western Canada  (4 Scouts) 
  • Eastern Canada (1 Scout) – Preferably Halifax area
  • Quebec (1-3 scouts)
  • New England  (3-5 scouts)
  • Michigan  (1-2 scouts)
  • Minnesota (1-3 scouts)
  • Southwest US  (1 scout)
  • West Coast US (1 scout)

Remote Scouting / Video Scouting

We offer a video scouting department for scouts who may not live in a hockey hotbed or may have problems due to work or families, etc. to physically get to the rinks. This past year we had 5 video scouts, 3 of which were playing professional hockey in Europe, 1 was a retired coach who didn’t have great mobility to get around and another was a new scout breaking into the industry. Internships

For people looking to crack into the hockey industry, Neutral Zone offers internships, typically associated with a University for course credit or to fill a requirement. These internships have a wide range of duties from social media, data entry, analytics, journalism, administrative tasks, accounting, editing, customer service and managing player profile database.
