NAHL: Corpus Christi names Lysyj head coach

The Corpus Christi Ice Rays have named Michael Lysyj as the team’s next head coach.

Lysyj, 32, was an assistant coach this past season for Des Moines in the USHL and he spent the 2019-20 season with the Everett SIlvertips in the WHL. He also has experience in the NCAA with RPI and SUNY Fredonia.

Lysyj played collegiate hockey at SUNY Fredonia.

“We are excited to have someone like Michael taking over as the bench boss of the IceRays,” said Corpus Christi president Cassidy Lange. “With him having extensive history in both professional hockey and junior hockey, I have no doubt that he is the right person to lead the IceRays to a Robertson Cup.”
