Parker Foo Leaves Union For KHL Contract

Union College forward Parker Foo has left the school and signed a pro contract with the Kunlun Red Star of the KHL despite having one year of NCAA eligibility remaining.

Foo is a Chicago Blackhawks prospect and will join his brother, Spencer Foo, on the Red Star roster. He appeared in his first game for his new pro club last night.

Foo was an offensive standout for the Brooks Bandits in the AJHL. In three seasons with Union, the Alberta native scored nine goals and added 19 assists in 88 games. Last season, he finished three goals and four assists in 20 games for the Dutchmen.

Foo was a fifth-round pick (No. 144 overall) of the Chicago Blackhawks in 2017.

The 22-year-old signed a two-year deal, but under the NHL CBA, Chicago will hold his draft rights until August 15, 2021.
