Ryan Durocher Joins Staff at Robert Morris

Sioux City Musketeers assistant coach Ryan Durocher has accepted a position as an assistant coach with Robert Morris for the upcoming season.

The Canton, NY, native joined the Musketeers in time for the 2018-19 season, which saw the team finish with a 30-25-5-2 record. Durocher‘s guidance helped lead to the selection of four Sioux City players in the 2019 NHL Draft.

Prior to joining the Musketeers, Durocher, who played collegiately at SUNY-Cortland, was a video coach with the Binghamton Devils in the AHL and also served as director of operations for the St. Lawrence program for two seasons.

“It‘s always exciting to see a staff member have an opportunity at a university position,” said Musketeer head coach Luke Strand. “Ryan is more than deserving of this position. His experiences gained over past years make him so ready. We wish him the best and we will miss him.”

Strand says Durocher’s position will be filled in a timely manner, per a team release.

The Colonials have to fill another assistant position as well.
