LIU Lands Two More As Program Builds

LIU landed its first recruit, ’99-born defenseman Jordan DiCicco, on Monday and the Sharks kept building the program with two more additions on Tuesday.

DiCicco has a potential D partner in ’99-born defenseman Robert McCollum, who heads to LIU after being ranked No. 62 in our 1999 National Rankings report from last month. He also was ranked #9 in our Top 50 Uncommitted 1999s Report.

McCollum is a Thunder Bay Ont. native. He’s 6-foot-1 and split this past season among three teams β€” Kenai River (NAHL), Lincoln (USHL) and Muskegon (USHL).

In 29 USHL games this season, McCollum had 2 goals and 3 assists from the blue line. With Kenai River, McCollum posted 3 goals and 10 assists in 25 games.

LIU committed its first forward in ’99-born Daine Dubois.

Dubois is from British Columbia and he was ranked No. 216 in our 1999 National Rankings report. In 58 games for the Bonnyville Pontiacs (AJHL) this season, Dubois scored 28 goals and added 37 assists. Dubois also suited up for the AJHL Selects in the JCWC.

Over the last two years with Bonnyville, Dubois has posted 47 goals and 69 assists. He also checked in at #47 on our Top Uncommitted 1999s Report mentioned above.

“Good speed that will get pucks to the net,” said NZ scouts. “He’s always in good position in the defensive zone, and will battle hard wherever the puck is because he is the one that wants the puck on his stick.”
