St. Lawrence Adds Seven Players For 2020-21 Roster
Grant Adams – 6-2 | 195 | Goaltender
South Bend, Indiana | Sioux Falls Stampede (USHL) / Salmon Arm Silverbacks (BCHL)
Adams started the 2019-20 season in Sioux Falls before he was traded to Salmon Arm in the second half of the season. In nine games with the Silverbacks, he finished with a 2.99 goals against average and .904 save percentage. Prior to playing junior hockey, Adams was co-captain of the hockey team at Culver Academy where he posted a 2.15 GAA and .918 save percentage in his senior season.
He will wear #35 for the Saints in 2020-21.
Luke Erickson – 6-2 | 210 | Defenseman
Woodbury, Minnesota | Fairbanks Ice Dogs (NAHL)
Erickson spent the last two seasons with the Ice Dogs, serving as an alternate captain in 2019-20. Despite missing a large portion of the season due to injury, he doubled his point production from the year before, finishing with 24 points in 29 games played on five goals and 19 assists and was a +25.
He will wear #9 for the Saints in 2020-21.
Greg Lapointe – 5-9 | 175 | Forward
Granby, Quebec | Coquitlam Express (BCHL)
As a rookie for Coquitlam, Lapointe averaged more than a point per game, finishing with 60 points on 29 goals and 31 assists 56 games played. He was among the top-10 in the BCHL in scoring, named to the All-Rookie Team and was also a Second-Team All-Star. In addition, he was also the recipient of Coquitlam’s Rookie of the Year, Top Scorer and Community Service Awards.
He will wear #26 for the Saints in 2020-21.
Tucker McIntosh – 6-1 | 175 | Defenseman
Toronto, Ontario | Ottawa Junior Senators (CCHL)
McIntosh finished the 2019-20 season as the top-scoring defenseman on the Senators with 33 points on 11 goals and 22 assists in 55 games played. He was selected to the CCHL All-Star game and won a silver medal at the World Jr. A Challenge. In addition, McIntosh comes to St. Lawrence ranked #174 in NHL central scouting.
He will wear #24 for the Saints in 2020-21.
Reilly Moran – 5-11 | 176 | Forward
Hingham, Massachusetts | Powell River Kings (BCHL)
As a rookie with Powell River, Moran finished second on the team in scoring with 16 goals and 21 assists for 37 points in 58 games played. Moran was also the recipient of the team’s Community Award, given to the King “who has actively been involved in the community events throughout the entire season, who was always willing to go the extra mile to make an impact in Powell River.”
He will wear #17 for the Saints in 2020-21.
Logan Ritchie – 5-11 | 180 | Forward
O’Fallon, Missouri | Kenai River Brown Bears (NAHL)
Ritchie spent the last two seasons in Kenai River and had a breakout season in 2019-20, quadrupling his point production from the season before to finish second on the team in scoring with 48 points in 52 games played, including a team-high 22 goals and 26 assists. In addition, he was selected to participate in the NAHL 2020 Top Prospects Tournament.
He will wear #27 for the Saints in 2020-21.
Nicholas Trela – 6-2 | 185 | Forward
Trenton, Michigan | Amarillo Bulls (NAHL)
Trela spent the last two seasons in Amarillo and served as an alternate captain in 2019-20. He put up career-high numbers last season, with 14 goals and 22 assists for 36 points in 48 games played. In addition, he was the recipient of the NAHL South Division Community Service Award.
He will wear #20 for the Saints in 2020-21.
’99 F Cameron Lindsay commits to Framingham State for 2020
Lindsay is a native of Michigan who has spent the last two seasons in the EHL with the Philadelphia Little Flyers after a brief stint with the New Jersey 87’s. This season he had 8 goals and 19 assists in 46 games.
Lindsay previously played for Victory Honda and the Valley Forge Minutemen.
NZ Scouts: “A strong power forward. He has a nice base and is a strong skater with good offensive tools. Lindsay uses his size very well. Very strong on puck with a good shot.”
’99 D Michael Ardagna commits to Skidmore for 2020
Ardagna is a native of Georgia. He played in the Quebec peewee tournament in 2012 for the Atlanta Fire and then he moved north. In 2015 he joined the New Hampshire Avalanche U16 team and he played a year at New Hampton before joining the Valley Jr. Warriors in the EHL.
This past season, Ardagna scored 4 goals and notched 12 assists in 46 games.
NZ Scouts: “Tyler is stronger than he looks at 5’11”. He played the rush well and showed off a quick stick. He really seemed to dominate larger players consistently as he used leverage and athletic intelligence to win puck battles. He worked well with his partner and was smart and simple on his breakout passes. On one play, he was engaged in a puck battles and made a perfect kick pass to get the puck up. He is aware and better than he gets credit for.”
’99 D Brendan Blair to Aurora for 2020
Blair is a solid pickup for Aurora. He spent this season in the NAHL with Amarillo and Johnstown, scoring 5 goals and adding 8 assists from the blue line in 43 total games.
Prior to his time in the NAHL, Blair spent time in the NOJHL with the Soo Eagles.
NZ Scouts: “The 1999 is big and strong. He defended with physicality and a smart stick. Hid his poke on the rush and kept his gaps tight. Brendan trusts his feet as he can really get up and down the sheet with straight line speed. On the rush, he wanted the puck. He facilitated clean zone entries as he took his ice and dished to the open man.”
’01 F Tommy Raith to St. Olak for 2020
Raith is an Illinois native who has been in New England playing prep hockey for the past two seasons. He had 5 goals and 7 assists for Kent in 26 games this past season and also played for the Springfield Rifles in the BEAST U18.
Prior to Kent, Raith was playing for the Chicago Young Americans in the HPHL.
’99 D Nolan Kadachuk commits to Marian for 2020
Kadachuk is a Sask. native who has spent his entire junior career in the SJHL.
A native of Melfort, he has spent the last three seasons with the Melfort Mustangs. This past season he appeared in 58 games and scored 6 goals with 35 assists. Over three years in the SJHL, he totaled 13 goals and added 65 assists.
Prior to the Mustangs, he played two seasons for the Tisdale Trojans in the SMHL.
’99 F Jacob Shankar commits to Concordia for 2020
Shankar had a nice season to finish his junior career, scoring 15 goals and adding 30 assists in 55 games for the Pembroke Lumber Kings in the CCHL With the exception of one season in the NOJHL, Shankar’s entire junior career has been spent in the CCHL, where over the last two seasons he has scored 29 goals and assisted on 41.
NZ Scouts: “Shankar is a big bodied, strong skating power forward who goes to the traffic areas, initiates contact and plays a hard to play against style. He uses his size and strength to come out of scrums with the puck and he is hard to knock off it when he’s driving wide or cutting to the net. He didn’t produce many scoring chances during his three games here, but he threw his weight around, he opened up space for his teammates, he blocked shots and did a lot of the little things to help his team win.”
