NCAA: BU Adds Two Recruits

’00 F Tristan Amonte commits to BU for 2021

Amonte will follow in the footsteps of his brother and father in playing for the Terriers. The Norwell, Mass. native had 34 points in 56 games for the Penticton Vees (BCHL) this season. He also has experience in the USHL with the Youngstown Phantoms. Amonte played his prep hockey at Thayer Academy.

NZ Scouts on Amonte: “Amonte is a highly competitive, fearless puck pursuer who brings energy, enthusiasm and hustle to every shift. Once he gets possession he’s crafty with the puck, he makes quick and subtle stick moves that buys him time and space and he can find his teammates or get off a quick shot.”

’99 G Vincent Duplessis commits to BU for 2020

The Terriers also landed a goalie for next year’s roster, committing the Quebec native. After two seasons in the BCHL, Duplessis moved over to the AJHL this season where he posted a .912 save percentage and a 2.72 GAA in 40 games for Whitecourt.

In our 1999 National Rankings report, Duplessis was ranked as the No. 24 overall prospect in the AJHL.

’99 D Liam Anderson commits to SUNY Cortland for 2020

Anderson appeared in 54 games for the Pickering Panthers (OJHL) this season, scoring 14 points. He has extensive history in the OJHL and MJHL as well as the NOJHL and GTHL.

NZ Scouts on Anderson: “Liam is a much travelled defenseman with Junior experience in in 4 different leagues. Not big but quick, agile and ready to jump up and join the rush. He shows composure on the breakout with his head up looking for options. Solid defensively.”

’99 D Sebastian Frank to Gustavus Adolphus for 2020

Frank is a good-sized Wisconsin native who has spent the last four seasons with the Minnesota Mullets in the USPHL. This past season he scored two goals and added seven assists in 44 games.

Frank played high school hockey in Wisconsin prior to his junior career.
