Below are the latest signings in the OHL with comments from our scouts.
Pos | Player | Team | NZ Scouts |
F | Carson Christy | Mississauga | Christy is an electrifying puck carrier, playmaker, and finisher who can bury the puck from anywhere around the net with a heavy snapshot or by employing his quick hands and a deceptive deke to both the forehand and backhand. This was on constant display during last week’s OMHA Championship Tournament where he lit the lamp six times in five games and guided Oshawa to a silver medal performance. |
F | Zach Filak | Sarina | Zachary has good size around 5’11 who plays a physical game and will drive to the net to make it difficult for the defenders. He has quick hands along with being a strong skater makes him an effective player. |
F | Amadeus Lombardi | Flint | Lombardi has great offensive skills and is a key weapon on a team that is built for speed and skill. He has good vision and shows a knack for threading the needle in tight situations. |
F | Evan Klein | Saginaw | He is a threat to come across the seam on the cycle and is tough to get the puck by on the boards using his body to seal off the boards in the offensive zone. We continue to see development in his overall footspeed and puck pursuit since the start of the season. |
