OHL: Nolan Forster Commits to Guelph

The Guelph Storm received a commitment from 2003-born forward Nolan Forster (3.75⭐).

Forster signed a standard player agreement with the Storm last week. This season with the Cambridge Redhawks (GOJHL), Forster has 58 points (14 goals, 44 assists) in 47 games and had eight assists in seven playoff games.

“I’m really excited to be a part of such a great organization,” said Forster. “Watching them do what they did last year was pretty incredible to witness. It motivated me to do everything possible to be a part of the Storm moving forward. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me in Guelph.”

The Mississauga native was drafted in the eighth round of the 2019 OHL Priority Selection by the Storm. He played his midget hockey with the Toronto Marlboros in the GTHL and had 45 points in 72 games with their AAA team last season.

Forster was one of our Top-35 players at the GOJHL Top Prospects Game earlier this year.

“A skilled attacker with a nose for the net, he does a great job making plays in the offensive end,” our scouts said. “He has quick hands and an ability to read defenses. He is a strong skater; quick jump and high top speed. He was not shy to go into the dirty areas for pucks and battle. He came away with two points; a goal and an assist and had other chances that could have seen him pot two or three more. He is a forward with an abundance of skill and someone who should be at the next level in the future.”

“Nolan has had a terrific year playing Junior B with the Cambridge Redhawks,” added Guelph GM and head coach George Burnett. “He brings excellent skill and speed to our team and we look forward to seeing him participate in a Storm jersey very soon.”
