Report: Chris Nagy Out at BB&N

Chris Nagy is out as head coach at BB&N in Cambridge, Mass., according to a report by The New England Hockey Journal.

Nagy seemingly confirmed the news with a tweet on Friday.

BB&N had one win this season over North Yarmouth Academy. According to The New England Hockey Journal, the school made the decision after pressure from parents. Former players of Nagy, who also runs CNHockey and the North Suburban Wings youth organization, came to his defense on social media.

“I played for Coach Nagy growing up,” Union forward Jack Adams tweeted. “Awesome coach, teacher & most importantly, person. He’ll land a better job soon, their loss.”

“Coach Nagy was super dedicated to our program while here at St. Mary’s,” the St. Mary’s of Lynn official hockey account tweeted. “He is a top notch coach and even more importantly a top notch person!”

The BB&N hockey program has now gone through four head coaches in four years. Governor’s Academy beat BB&N, 10-0, on Friday night.
